the effects of the corona virus (COVID-19) are currently a particularly challenging situation for the entire trade fair and event industry. In view of the latest developments, the Austrian Federal Government has presented a package of measures that also includes the ban on events. For the time being, this decree affects all events of Reed Exhibitions Austria.

Therefore, together with the advisory board, we made the decision not to run this year's edition of the Vienna Smart Automation from May 12th to 14th as planned. There is no alternative date, as the Smart in Linz will take place as planned in May 2021. With the Intertool advisory board, we agreed today that instead of the parallel scheduled Intertool (May 12th to 15th 2020) there will be an industry event in autumn 2020 celebrating the 40th anniversary of Intertool.

We know that this decision has an impact on your annual planning, but we believe that it was right and important to make in the interests of all concerned.
