The exhibition Interlight Russia | Intelligent Building Russia 2023 was successfully held on September 18-21, at IEC Expocentre, Moscow, Russia.

This year exhibition has exceeded its scope and went above and beyond:

498 exhibitors from 5 countries demonstrated the best of the best - the latest innovations and technologies. Manufacturers and suppliers showed their products and trendy novelties at the exhibition. National expositions were represented by the pavilions of Turkey and China.

There were so many interesting that 20 000 m2 of exhibition area (which is 5 halls in 2 pavilions!) did not have enough space for everyone! That we have already prepared new pavilions for next year!

23 617 professionals visited the exhibition during 4 days, which is 20% more than last year. The exhibition is becoming more popular!

In addition to the main exposition, visitors were welcomed by trend zones:

Smart Cube 4.0 is a multi-brand space that combines technology and modern design, this year's zone was inspired by work of Richard Kelly who was one of the pioneers of architectural lighting design. Visitors saw new products for residential, commercial real estate and lighting design solutions. Creators of Smart Cube and ambassadors of the exhibition: Daria Makurova (TRUE PROJECT), Konstantin Tsepelev (BRIGHT BURO), Lyudmila Verba (VERBA DESIGN).

We presented a new trend zone Design Stories by FLOS with exclusive novelties and legendary models from the world brand. Design Stories organized by FLOS representative office in Russia and Kazakhstan together with the official dealer in Russia DELIGHT.

Smart Light B2B by AWADA and VARTON with solutions for building automation and lighting. Special attention in the trend zone was paid to examples of realized projects of automation and lighting of general educational institutions.

More than 150 speakers shared their experience, knowledge and best realized projects.

For the first time was presented a new business venue Light + Smart Academy, which united events related to the development of smart and safe cities, building automation, integrated security systems, innovations and import substitution in the field of smart buildings, as well as electrical engineering and electrical installation:

Intelligent Tech Forum, within a case session "Smart Building. Innovations and import substitution in the sphere of building automation and security". Where such companies as National Builders Association, Osnova Group of Companies, Samolet Group, UNK project, SalutDevices LLC, Alef Elektro, MPS Soft, Awada Systems LLC shared their experience in realization and operation of smart building and vision of trends in automation of apartment buildings.

Industry day of the Smart City project of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation: during which experts discussed the best practices of regional improvement programs, implementation of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment", forms of interaction between business and government in solving problems in modernizing existing and creating new outdoor and architectural lighting facilities. Among speakers and experts were: Yulia Talalaikina, Strategic Projects Department of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation; Anatoly Kurmanov, The Smart City Project of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation; Evgeny Afanasenkov, Ministry of Improvement of the Moscow Region; Artyom Zaitsev, Bogorodsky District; Timofei Lyutomsky, Pioneer; Petr Yeghiazaryan, Capital Group; Ivan Tyagin, Etalon Tech; Vladimir Orlov, Ikon Development and others.

Panel discussion of the Russian Parks Association "High-quality lighting of parks, public spaces and adjacent territories as the most important element of creating a comfortable urban environment": There were representatives of Moscow State Autonomous Institution "Yauza Park", GMZ "Tsaritsyno", Park and Recreation Center "Sokolniki", Strategic Development Agency "CENTER", SPACES Bureau etc.

KNX User Club Russia panel discussion "Engineering systems in a unified digital environment of a modern building".

Interlight Design Academy the main venue for architects and designers, where well-known architects, interior designers, lighting designers discussing the best practices and the most interesting realized projects dedicated to: the city lighting and public spaces, trends in interior design and lighting design, the possibilities of professional automation systems and application of AI in the work of architects and designers. Among the speakers were representatives of the State Unitary Enterprise "Mossvet", ABD architects, Syntaxis, BRIGHT BURO, SINITSA BURO, "Uyutnaya Kvartira" and others.

On September 20 at the Interlight Design Academy took place the Awarding Ceremony of the Winners of the Contest "Russian Lighting Design 2023". This year 191 works were submitted for judging, from which the jury selected the finalists, laureates and winners in 11 categories.

Several events of the business program were devoted to the development of the lighting and electrical engineering market, as well as best business practices, marketing and sales:

LED FORUM gathered top managers of the largest lighting manufacturers. Speakers in the format of an open dialogue discussed topical issues of the lighting industry in Russia, key challenges of the status of Russian products in the lighting industry, plans for tariff regulation in the industry: recycling fee, labeling, duties; and the current situation and development of the NAA.

Interlight Business Talks, event for top managers and marketing specialists of lighting and electrical companies, was held for the second time. Representatives of Hoff, Yandex Market, Megamarket shared analytics; brands told how to properly present lighting equipment at exhibitions, in showrooms and retail equipment; well-known business coaches shared effective sales tactics. One of the session was dedicated to the labor market: representatives of companies gave examples from their practice, how to find candidates quickly and efficiently, how to train and develop employees in a rapidly changing environment.

The business breakfast "Sports facility: Light. Sound. Multimedia" held on September 20. During the event, leading experts of the construction industry and the sports industry discussed the prospects for the development of sports infrastructure and shared their experience of interaction between the state, business and society. Projects of large Russian facilities under construction were presented at the conference.

Also on September 20 there was a Briefing dedicated to the partner event Interlight Central Asia (November 8-10, 2023, Kazakhstan).

On the last day of the exhibition, there was final of the international scientific and technical contest-conference "Young Lighting Technicians". Where young specialists and students presented the reports dedicated to "Lighting Engineering", "Architecture and Lighting Design". The winners were determined and announced on this event.
