      VISCOM ITALIA 2022: OUTSTANDING PARTICIPATION RELAUNCHING NEW BUSINESS PROSPECTS

      The 2024 edition of Viscom Italia confirmed once more as the front row seat event premiering all the latest projects, ideas, technologies and boundless creativity in order to catch a glimpse into the future of visual communications. A complete excursus designed not only to put up on stage all the styles, ingenuity and skills of the leading market players but also the different applications set to revolutionise tomorrow's businesses.

      Milan, 23rd of October 2024 – The bustling corridors of Halls 8/12 at Rho Milano Fiera shut this year’s 35th edition of Viscom Italia, the International Visual Communication Exhibition and Conference doors on Friday 18th of October. The event welcomed 13.895 visitors, with a 28% increase in the number of international professionals – mainly from Switzerland, China, Germany, France, Spain, Slovenia, Portugal, Croatia and the United Kingdom. With over 250 international brands and a 34% increase in first time exhibitors.

      The challenges facing new markets, the importance of training, and the celebration of technologies and applications excellence were the pillars of this year's Viscom Italia edition, helping operators set out new objectives to drive their business strategies.

      Great all-round satisfaction on exhibiting companies’ part, who engaged with leading professionals, and had the chance to network and develop different business opportunities with new customers. Viscom Italia once more cemented its spot as the arena where industry players capitalized on the opportunity to premiere their easily customisable products - able to match the needs of multiple sectors like design, interior decoration, point-of-sale or clothing that need cutting edge visual communication solutions to better express their brands.

      ‘Behind every innovation lies the skills, passions and ideas of the people who are the real drivers of Viscom Italia's success, says Cecilia Montalbetti, Exhibition Manager Viscom Italia. Boosting the awareness of one's products and innovations, recognizing and embracing the needs of one's customers. Thus, improving the ability to communicate effectively with one's target audience, establishing a rapport with them and so improving one’s competitiveness”.

      The events provided a specialised training environment to build up technical know-how, as well as the chance to seize business opportunities thanks to demonstrations of new technologies. The diversification of new applications or formats provided visitors new insights as how to move away from tried and tested past solutions.

      The special Visual Décor area was a truly creative workshop housing integrated interior decoration solutions to renovate and upgrade environments such as points of sale, bars, restaurants, sports facilities, hotels and hospitals via visual communication techniques. Designers, architects, design studios and decorators had a first-hand opportunity to see and touch these innovative applications, learn how to create and transform surfaces into great communication and design potentials, converting pre-existing furnishing systems into renewed scenic and functional elements. Viscom Italia is the ideal place to get a feeling of the latest market trends, enabling these professionals to react in real-time to their customers' requests or proactively propose them those new media tools.

      The sheer number of visitors confirmed once more the importance of the traditional appointments, including the Viscom Talks – which has evolved into a true visual communication educational arena during the eight seminars throughout the event’s three days. A first hand debate of experiences highlighted a range of topics such as digital printing and AI, design, advertising, interior decoration, fashion, packaging and sustainability.

      Style and design were the true stars of Elementaria, the exhibition organised in collaboration with Display Italia magazine. The event show-cased the hi-design prototypes and presented display solutions created by thirteen internationally renowned designers and artists who worked alongside manufacturers of raw materials to propose creative display concepts and launch future trends for the retail and brand industry.

      Finally, the awards were given out to the following DIVA winners from the 30 competing displays by the 22 companies battling for the Display Italia Viscom Award honour - the international competition organized in collaboration with Display Italia. This year’s jurors were Cristiana Sormani - Trade Marketing Manager, Bayer (Chairperson); Federica Brumen, R&S, Sustainability, Ecodesign at Comieco; Sara Cesarotti - Head of Marketing and Communication at Garmin; Marina Genovese - Trade Marketing Specialist & Pop Developer at Marchon; Matteo Ghini - Marketing Director at Caddy's; Antonio Gisimundo - POSM Skin Care and Personal Care Manager at Beiersdorf; Patrizio Guastaferro - Category Management Coordinator at Mediaworld; Maria Antonietta Iacovaccio - Retail Director at CEF la Farmacia; Marco Mariani - Trade Marketing Manager at Groupe Seb and Antonio Riolo - Senior Director Omnichannel at Adidas:

      Viscom Italia’s doors will reopen on 1st to 3rd of October 2025 in Halls 8/12 at Rho Milano Fiera.
